SSP burrs can withstand coffee and espresso brewing as well as bulk grinding and have an average lifetime of 4000 to 5000 kg which is about 6-8 times longer than standard non-coated steel burrs which are usually rated at about 600kg.
SSP has two different burr geometries.
Multi-Purpose (MP) - These are good all around burrs for normal use. They are good for espresso and for brewing.
Espresso (ESP) - The ESP burr set is recommended for light roasts that reqiure high uniformity for proper extraction.
